AN ELDERLY pensioner has been left shaken after two men robbed him in the street.

The victim in his 90s had gone to the bank in North Street in Chichester at 1.20pm on September 10 and took out £1,000.

He then walked along East Street and St Martin's Street to use the public toilets.

Inside two men approached him and took his jacket off him, patted down t he pockets and stole the money.

Detective Constable David Midgley said: “We believe the two suspects followed the victim from the bank and seized their opportunity to rob him when he went into the toilets.

“The pensioner has been left, understandably, shaken by this incident and we are keen to trace the men who did this."

He has appealed for any witnesses to come forward, including motorists who may have dashcam footage.
