A DRIVER had to be freed from the wreck of a vehicle after it crashed through the front wall of a house.
Firefighters and police were called to Shirley Drive in Worthing shortly after 10pm on Friday.
It was reported that the automatic car had reversed across the road, through a garden wall and through the house itself.
After the crash fire crews helped remove the car, while also taking steps to ensure the structural integrity of the property.
One witness, who didn't wish to be named, said: "It appears the car drove across the drive and through a garden wall.
"The driver must have been trying to park as it reversed through the house. The car had penetrated the front wall."
It is understood that the driver was not under investigation by the police, and there were no reported injuries.
The police and fire brigade were contacted for comment.
