A SMALL design company is urging the public to vote after reaching the national finals of a competition.

Groundnation Ltd, based in Regent Street, Brighton, is competing in the eighth annual Lovie Awards.

It has been named finalist for food and beverage website and also best lifestyle website.

As a finalist, Groundnation is eligible to win a People’s Lovie Award, which is voted online by fans across the globe until September 27.

Fans can cast votes at vote.lovieawards.eu.

Groundnation has more than 20 years experience delivering design and development services locally and across the country.

Owner James Richardson said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have reached this stage.

“It is a major coup for us and we are over the moon.

“We take great pride in the work we do and we are hoping for more success at the finals.

“We also want people to vote for us if possible.”

The Lovie Awards are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.

It covers Europe and runs across websites, online advertising, internet video, mobile sites, apps and podcasts, and social media.

IADAS, which selects the Lovie Award Winners, is comprised of internet industry experts.

These include musician Imogen Heap, Stephen Fry and Corinne Vigreux, co-founder of TomTom.

Nicolas Roope, executive chairman of IADAS, said: “Groundnation has excelled in its category, showing fantastic prowess in digital innovation and creativity.

“This award is a testament to the skill, ingenuity and vision of its creators.”

All winners will be honoured at the The BFI Southbank in London on November 15.
