I would like to congratulate Brighton and Hove City Council's animal welfare officer for bringing the landmark prosecution against the woman who docked puppies' tails with scissors.
I am very pleased that this cruel woman has been sent to jail. Her punishment is justly deserved.
I hope this will send out a clear message to people who abuse and mutilate animals in their care.
Cruelty will not be tolerated and offenders will be dealt with.
I wonder what became of the dogs who had their tails cut and, since Gillian Breden cannot own an animal for ten years, what will become of the mother?
