HOME-START Arun, Worthing and Adur is putting on its biggest fundraising event of the year – a 180ft abseil down Arundel Castle - on Sunday.

It is aiming to raise £18,000.

Celebrating its 18th year of supporting families, Home-Start is calling all thrill-seekers, adrenaline junkies or those willing to try something new, to join them in this exclusive opportunity and raise money for a wonderful cause.

Home-Start supports local families with more than 100 families helped this year already.

This is all made possible by dedicated staff and volunteers whose aim is to ensure that all children are given the same opportunities to promote their wellbeing and development and have the best start in life.

Aldingbourne Primary School’s Head Teacher will join fellow thrill-seekers who are abseiling 180ft.

Elizabeth Webster is excited to raise money for her local Home-Start.

Martin Hill, a local firefighter, will also descend the Bake House Tower on Sunday.

He joined Arundel Station in December 2013 as a retained firefighter with West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.

Over his five years of service, Martin has seen for himself local families who are struggling through challenging times and hopes that by abseiling he can raise funds to support these local families in need and highlight the service Home-Start offers to families with young children.

There are spaces left for abseils between 2-4pm with a registration fee of £25 and sponsorship target of £250 to meet.
