WHILE children had fun at a Newhaven tourist attraction this summer, they also helped to raise money for those less fortunate.

Visitors to Paradise Park supported Save the Children charity to the tune of £500 by paying £1 for each activity they undertook.

Stephanie and Rosemary from the charity’s East Sussex branch visited the Avis Road venue to collect the cheque from Mark Gilbert, a director at Tates of Sussex which runs the park.

“We are delighted to have been able to support the work of this great charity”, says Mark.

“Well done to everyone who contributed during the school holidays.”

The Save the Children Fund, commonly known as Save the Children, is an international non-governmental organisation.
