CROWDS will flock to this weekend’s Autumn Show and Game Fair at the South of England Showground in Ardingly.
The world’s leading display falconer Jonathan Marshall brings his fairytale dancing Spanish horses and high speed falcons to the main ring.
Jonathan produces a totally unique and breathtaking performance which encapsulates a lifetime’s passion for horses and falcons.
Other headline attractions include displays from Warrenby Gundogs, where visitors can watch and learn about the different stages of gundog training from basic puppy obedience through to advanced work; and Ridgeway Lurchers will be putting on an exciting programme that includes thrilling racing and demonstrations with expert commentary.
There will be falcons, owls, eagles and buzzards from Huxley’s Birds of Prey with some lucky visitors being picked to help with the display.
On Saturday, the Kent and Surrey Bloodhounds will take over the Ardingly Ring followed by the Cavalcade of Hounds on Sunday where spectators will be invited to come and meet the friendly hounds and huntsmen resplendent in their full regalia.
As well as enjoying first-class entertainment and celebrating the great British harvest at one of the largest game fairs in the region, visitors to the show are encouraged to have a go at the thrilling countryside sports and pursuits.
Try your hand at clay pigeon shooting, terrier racing, gundog scurries, dog agility, fly fishing, archery, axe throwing, pony rides, mini steam railway, kite flying, scarecrow making and bread making.
