A WOMAN chased a burglar from a flat belonging to her parents — who are both in their eighties.

The woman confronted the man in the bedroom of the property in Sussex Way, Peacehaven, on Wednesday (October 10).

He ran away, pushing her as he made his escape.

He was seen running along The Esplanade and then into the car park at the rear of Marine Court.

Gold jewellery from the bedroom was later found to be missing.
