A man followed a woman driver for half a mile before getting out and smashing her car’s window and wing mirror in a suspected road rage attack.
The stocky motorist was in his early forties with grey hair.
He waited for her to stop and then got out of his silver VW Caddy Sportline TDI and destroyed the woman’s driver window.
The attack happened in Surrenden Road, Brighton, at about 5.30pm last Monday.
The woman, who was driving a Talbot Express camper van, had pulled out of Woodlandland Way on to the road.
She was tailgated by the man for about half a mile before the attack.
Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen what happened and are urging people to come forward with information.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “If you witnessed the incident or are the driver of the VW please report it online or call 101 quoting reference 991 of 08/10.”
