ZOMBIES are preparing to invade a shopping centre for Halloween.

On one of the most frightening nights of the year, Churchill Square in Brighton will be overrun with hordes of the undead and the public will have no choice but to work their way round the shops to evade them.

Events company Wicked Experiences said tickets are selling fast for the escape room style adventure, which it says is the first of its kind.

People must buy a £45 ticket for the 60-minute experience – and will have to escape from Churchill Square while being chased by some 50 flesh-hungry zombies.

Potential “victims” get an access-all-areas pass and must solve clues to save the world from the “Zombie Nightmare”.

Events director Ash Gamon said: “It’s the ultimate Halloween experience.

“It is one of the only zombie experiences that operates in a shopping centre. You know the venue is real – unlike a lot of traditional scare mazes, it’s a real shopping centre.

“The public will find themselves behind the scenes at the centre, in the main part of the building and even on the roof at one point.”

The Zombie Nightmare will take place throughout the evening on Tuesday, October 30, and Wednesday, October 31.
