I WRITE with regard to the article on page 18 of Wednesday’s Argus about the residents criticising the council over city centre plans.

The problem with this council is when they do a consultancy, there is not enough effort put into informing the public on when the consultancy will take place.

The main reason is they do not want an objection on something that they have already agreed amongst themselves to implement.

I have for three years been trying to find a solution with event parking in Moulsecoomb, but it has been hard uphill struggle to make them change their minds on anything they have already agreed on.

Much like a tombstone, once they have been set in place, they shall not be moved for 90 years, whether the reasoning is right or wrong.

For a large number of people, travel to Hove Town Hall by bus is time consuming, and the chaotic parking around Hove Town Hall will also tend to put people off.

The Argus has illustrated many times the proposals and plans for Valley Gardens.

It does not take anyone with a little knowledge to see how ill thought out this scheme has been.

The original idea was from the Greens and when the Labour Party took over it became Warren Morgan’s leaving present to us residents.

Look at how quickly the council was able to get it passed and begin the destruction.

When the council agrees to implement any scheme it seems to be changed from when the agreement is made to when it is implemented.

The struggle many residents have in trying to keep their heads above the water by the ever increasing cost put upon them by this ill-run council is bad enough, but to see how easy the council can squander money is like stabbing residents in the back and turning the knife.
