MORE than 120 businesses attended the latest Network Albion Business Club networking breakfast at the Amex.

Guest speaker at this month’s event was Olympic medallist, leadership development consultant and coach Dr Alison Mowbray.

She spoke about her journey from not being involved in sport at all from a young age to winning a silver medal at the Olympics.

Rower Alison spent years focusing on the goal of competing in the Olympics and in 2000 she achieved just that.

Following that, Allison spent the next four years with a new aim – to win a medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics.

Competing in a slightly different format, Alison did achieve her goal and won a silver medal in the women’s quadruple – a medal she shared with the delegates in attendance.

Martin Beames of ODT Solicitors said, “Great event – speak was phenomenal.

Angelina Andrews, business manager and isearch associate at REED, said: “It was a great networking morning with Network My Club with the incredible guest speaker Alison Mowbray sharing her journey to becoming an Olympic medallist.”

The next networking breakfast takes place on Thursday November 1 at the Amex. You can book your place at/www.networkalbion.co.uk/events/november-2018-networking-breakfast
