A NEW centre supporting the elderly has been opened.

Eastbourne Mayor Gill Mattock cut the ribbon to officially open the Age UK East Sussex Information and Advice Resource Centre.

It is at Faraday House in Eastbourne.

Age UK staff, volunteers, trustees and stakeholders were all present.

Travelling around East Sussex, the Information and Advice Resource Centre vehicle will boost the charity’s vital services and give increased access to vulnerable older people in hard to reach locations.

It is fully equipped with easy access for those with mobility issues and has a confidential meeting space.

Support is provided on a range of issues provided by staff and trained volunteers.

The team will provide information on a range of topics for elderly people.
