LONDON Road has been revealed as the fourth most dangerous road in the city.

The Argus has mapped out all reported crime in the last year using police figures of more than 1,500 streets.

Butcher Graham Maides, 55, has been working on the street since he was 16.

The M&B Meats owner said: “I love this street. Sadly you have the few that spoil it.

"But it is a great street, if it wasn’t I wouldn’t have been here this long.”

London road has had a significant amount of investment in recent years.

In 2013, the Brighton London Road Town Team gave projects on the street gave £83,000 in Government funding.

The street was hailed as Brighton’s answer to London’s Shoreditch district.

The area has seen improvements with the Open Market, which has an entrance on London Road, reopening in 2014.
