EVERY night without fail there are people from various towns opposing new housing developments, and of course the blocks of flats.

Don’t bother, you are wasting your breath and it doesn’t matter how many meetings they have to air your views, it has already been decided.

The people in charge think that the general public can’t see the damage all this building is doing to the environment and wildlife, and of course the added congestion such on the A259.

We can, they can’t.

I live in Peacehaven where they have just started on a new large development.

I feel what the people moving here should firstly consider is if they have children, how far will their nearest school be, especially as the A259 is gridlocked from about 715am, then again around 4pm.

Will they be able to register at a local doctor’s surgery?

How far will they have to travel to a decent supermarket?

The 14 bus service at certain times of the day going to Newhaven isn’t very good.

So after all the opposition from the residents of Peacehaven, the development has still gone ahead.

So with all the thousands of extra pounds the council will receive from these new properties in council taxes, will they still cut services and increase our taxes?

Yes of course they will, so where does it go?

In Peacehaven we can’t even seem to have the grass verges cut properly and the pavements are getting narrower and narrower.

So don’t waste your breath, nobody will listen.
