A 'BRAZEN' robber raided a travel agent in the centre of Brighton today.

Police were called to the Tui store in North Street at about 11.15am.

The shop was taped off by police and remained closed at 1.45pm.

Police confirmed there had been a robbery at the shop and that cash had been stolen.

Staff have put a sign up saying the store will be shut for the rest of the day.

A worker in Rush Hair, a salon across the street, said: "It's made us all feel scared.

"It's made me feel a bit worried really because you don't know where the next target will be."

Another hairdresser at the salon said: "I don't feel safe locking up on my own anymore."

The receptionist, Giada Benedetti, said: "I saw a lot of people gathering across the road but because I was working I did not actually see what was going on."

Beverley Chambers, working at Boots next door, said: "I don't know what happened, but I walked past the shop to get my lunch and saw the police there."
