A RACIST thug who shouted abuse at an ambulance crew, the police, and even at children has been ordered to pay a fine.
Lee Bailey had fallen in the street in Westcourt Road in Worthing on Tuesday last week.
The 38-year-old then abused the paramedics and swore at police who came to help, using racist language.
The next day he appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court where he admitted racially aggravated harassment that caused alarm and distress.
Magistrates ordered Bailey, of Cortis Avenue in Worthing, to pay a £200 fine, along with a £30 victim surcharge, and costs £85.
Sergeant Peter Allan said the sentence reflects the racist nature of Bailey’s outbursts, and encouraged victims of hate crime to report it to the police by calling 101 or reporting online.
