Police have arrested a man after a woman was raped in woods.
The 38-year-old woman from Brighton was attacked near the town centre in Steyning on September 20.
An appeal was issued after the incident, and Detective Sergeant Kirsty Murray said a 45-year-old man from the area has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
After being interviewed he was released under investigation.
Det Sgt Murray has asked for anyone else who may have witnessed what happened in the early evening on that Thursday to contact Sussex Police online or call 101 and quote Operation Glamis.
