A NEW College Principal has been appointed at Brighton Film School.
Itziar Leighton, pictured, joins from Aldridge Education where she has spent the last four years as Regional Director.
There, she led on curriculum development, establishing specialist academies and developing industry links and partnerships.
Itziar has more than 20 years experience in education.
She said: “I am so happy to be joining such a dynamic family of professionals.
“I have been so struck by the passion for both their subject and their determination that students both enjoy themselves and personally develop through an outstanding educational experience, which will help launch them into their chosen career.”
Brighton Film School is a contemporary film school which offers BA (Hons) degrees in practical filmmaking – validated by University of Brighton and Diploma level vocational courses for younger students.
For more than 15 years, the school has been training and developing film industry professionals and enabling them to gain industry-recognised qualifications.
Its next Open Day is on Saturday November 17.
