DETECTIVES have released new CCTV footage as part of a double murder inquiry.

Gina Ingles and her four-year-old son Milo Ingles-Bailey both died from breathing in smoke after an arson at their home in Croxdon Way in Eastbourne in July.

Her partner Toby Jarrett, 26, managed to survive after escaping the blaze, but was in hospital for several weeks after the incident.

Police launched Operation Druffield, and two men aged 23 and 47 were initially arrested on suspicion of two murders, and attempted murder.

Now they want to identify two people, both believed to be men, who appear to be walking away from the arson in Croxdon Way.

The pictures show the men walking at around 1am on Tuesday, July 10.

Detective Chief Inspector Mike Ashcroft said: “It’s important we identify the people in this footage as they may have witnessed the house fire or hold key information about it.

“Since the murders we have interviewed a large number of people, and completed comprehensive house-to-house and sales of petrol enquiries.

“We are continuing to analyse a large amount of data and information as we attempt to piece together exactly what happened on that fatal morning.

“While we have already received a lot of support and information from the local community – which we are extremely grateful for – we hope that the release of this CCTV will prompt anyone with any outstanding information to come forward.

“We’re still confident someone, somewhere, must know something about how and why two people, a mother and her four-year-old son, were killed in their own home, and a man was left with life-changing injuries.”

A 23-year-old man has been released, pending further enquiries, while a 47-year-old man has been released without charge and will face no further action.
