THE husband of a missing woman has made a fresh appeal for information, a year on from her disappearance.

Helen Slaughter was last seen on CCTV leaving her home in Barnham near Chichester at 6am in November 1 last year.

She has not been seen or made contact with her family since.

Inspector Ian Maloney said the disappearance was very much out of character.

She is 5ft 2ins, of small build, with short brown hair and glasses. When she was last seen wearing dark jeans, a light-coloured fleece and a woolly hat.

Police say she also has small tattoos on both her arms, depicting a bee, a ladybird, the letter H, and a tortoise.

Insp Maloney said: “We are urging the public to continue to keep a look out for her and would ask everyone to cast their minds back to see if they remember seeing Helen at the time of her disappearance.

“Helen’s disappearance still remains extremely out of character for her and we are desperate to hear from her. Did you notice Helen wandering the fields and wooded areas while out walking?

“Helen if you are reading this, we just to know that you are safe. Please get in contact with either us or your family.”

Information can be reported online to Sussex Police or by calling 101 quoting 409 of 01/11/17. Anyone who sees her should call 999 immediately.
