We are putting the ‘time’ in our nostalgia section today as we take a look back at some of Brighton and Hove’s old public clocks. Do you remember checking the time on any of these historical clocks?
Do you recognise any of these old timepieces displayed around Brighton – and other parts of Sussex?
One clock, which gives the time in digital format rather than analogue, carries the name Alliance Time, though we are not sure where it was.
The Royal Insurance clock above is on the front of what is now All Bar One restaurant at 2-3 Pavilion Buildings in Brighton, and it is still there today.
