WORTHING’S free annual fireworks display promises to make November 5 a night to remember as preparations for a seafront spectacular are underway.

More than 20,000 revellers are expected to flock to the seafront for the sizzling display, organised by Worthing Lions Club, and supported by Worthing Borough Council and the Worthing Town Centre Initiative.

Fireworks will be fired from the end of the pier.

The bangs and whistles are part of two days of fun on November 4 and 5, including the William Cole Funfair on the promenade and in Montague Street.

Food market stalls will also be located at popular viewing points throughout Worthing, including Steyne Gardens, Montague Street and South Square.

The Worthing Lions, a group of volunteers dedicated to helping the community, have a flare for organising events and are involved in numerous charitable and social activities throughout the year.

The fireworks display is free. Attendees are encouraged to make a donation either through Lions collectors on the prom, or to make a donation on their Crowdfunding page. All profits raised go to local Lions good causes.

The fireworks will be set off at 7:30pm on Monday from Worthing Pier. The Funfair will operate from 2pm - 9:30pm, and the rides on Montague Street will also be open on Sunday from 2pm - 6pm.
