A MAN suffered "life-changing" injuries when he fell from a second-floor window in Hove tonight (Saturday).

Emergency services were called to a property in Western Road at 8.48pm.

At least six police cars and an ambulance were at the scene.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was taken to intensive care in Brighton.

The road was closed while he received treatment from paramedics but reopened at 9.30pm.

All emergency services left the scene at about 10.45pm.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.

Police confirmed these details to the Argus at just after midnight.

A witness who asked not to be named said: "A man fell out the window.

"I don't know if he jumped or if he just fell, but he fell about three storeys.

"He was still alive when he landed because I saw his arms moving when the paramedics came to the scene."
