A GAY running group wants to welcome others to take part in races and social events.

FrontRunners says having friends to train with makes it less intimidating for beginners and others to get active.

Organiser James Barron said they want to establish the LGBT group here in Brighton and Hove, and will also link up with the Blagss group.

Relaxed 3km routes are available, and afterwards members meet for coffee, drinks and other social outings.

He said: “The primary aim is inclusivity first and foremost, to offer the opportunity to get fit, move more, and have fun.

“We want to extend the group from complete beginners to those wanting to improve their personal best times.”

The group meets at 7pm on Wednesdays at the back of the King Alfred Leisure Centre. There are 3km or 6km running options.
