MAGISTRATES ordered a man to pay compensation for smashing a fast food restaurant door.
Tony Merrett admitted causing the criminal damage at McDonald’s in Arundel last month.
The 36-year-old appeared at Worthing Magistrates’ Court where he was ordered to pay £100 in compensation.
It will be deducted from his benefits.
Merrett, of Lyminster Road in Littlehampton, was also given a six-month conditional discharge after committing the offence.
