RAIDERS tried to break into a train station’s cash machine this morning (November 16).

Police were called to Burgess Hill station at 2.38am to reports of an attempted break in.

The Argus:

The station was cordoned off during the morning and pictures of the scene show officers searching for evidence.

The train station has now reopened.

British Transport Police said no cash was stolen during the break in.

Their spokeswoman said: “BTP were called to Burgess Hill station at 2.38am this morning following reports of an attempted cash machine break in.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 34 of 16/11/18.”
