CHILDREN from a special school were invited to a festive party at an Italian restaurant.

Donatello in Brighton Place, Brighton, was celebrating the switch-on of its annual Christmas lights and attractions.

Youngsters from Hill Park, in Brighton, which caters for youngsters with profound disabilities, joined in the fun.

Restaurant owner Sue Addis is a keen supporter of community events.

Father Christmas was there along with Brighton and Hove Mayor Dee Simson, a panto dame and the excited young guests.

The restaurant has a reindeer attraction and cottage outside for the festive season.

Elsa Gillio from The Argus Appeal was at the party. She said: “I have nothing but admiration for Sue. She is a great servant of our community. Its Christmas attraction looks fantastic and she made the children very happy.”
