A MURDERER who went on the run from prison has been arrested.

Jeremy Brabrooke was at Ford Prison near Arundel when he went missing on Wednesday last week.

Police said the 56-year-old had links to Portsmouth, and CCTV footage showed him entering St Faith's Church in Havant on Friday.

He was found guilty of murdering a woman in Bradford in 1988 and sentenced to life in prison.

But he was arrested in Hampshire, and police thanked the public for helping to find him.
