A WORTHING company is celebrating a brand new contract to supply Tesco with a range of its all-natural protein balls.

Launching this month into the health and wellness aisle, The Protein Ball Co. will be supplying three of its flavours: Peanut Butter, Lemon + Pistachio and Cherry Bakewell, into Tesco stores across the UK.

Demand for high quality, all-natural, protein-based snacks is growing.

The new deal will see its Peanut Butter and Cherry Bakewell available in 330 stores, whilst its Lemon + Pistachio will be stocked in 179 Tesco outlets.

Matt Hunt, founder of The Protein Ball Co, said: “This is an incredibly exciting new contract for us and one of our biggest new retail deals since we launched in 2015.

“It will allow us to reach a whole new customer base and further increase the distribution of our great range of delicious products.

“Our protein balls come in 45g bags containing six bite-sized balls and are perfect for those customers looking for a healthier and more nutritious on-the-go snack,”

The Protein Ball Co. products are already available in a range of outlets including Ocado, Spar, Morrisons and Holland & Barratt.

There are eight flavours in the core range (four are vegan), as well as its new range of high fibre and protein Breakfast Ball in three flavours.

Recently the husband and wife team behind the healthy snack business were in Paris to attract new orders from 109 countries across the world.

Matt and Hayley Hunt were in SIAL Paris which has more than 7,000 exhibitors and 155,000 visitors over five days.

The company already exports to 29 countries across the world and is hoping to attract the eye of new buyers from all over the world.

Matt said at the time: “We will be sampling our range of eight protein balls, as well as our brand new Breakfast Balls and will be looking to increase our export presence and build new relationships.

“The health food market is hugely competitive so it’s very important for us to be seen at these shows and to meet new potential buyers face to face.

“Our products are 100 per cent natural with no added sugar and use clean proteins.

“We have a fantastic USP which we hope will resonate with the influential buyers who attend SIAL Paris.”

The Great British Pavilion featured around 100 food and drink businesses from the UK, including The Protein Ball Co.
