A CYCLIST suffered serious facial injuries after losing control on a hill and smashing into railings.
The 34-year-old broke his nose and had a black eye and a cut to his head which needed stitches.
He was taken to The Conquest Hospital in St Leonards.
Now police are appealing for witnesses who saw the accident.
It happened at 7.30pm on Wednesday at the roundabout junction of Elphinstone Road and the A2101 Queens Road.
Several people stopped to help the man and police are keen to talk to anyone who saw what happened. Call 101 or report online quoting 610 of 21/11.
