A MAN fell from a car park and was air lifted to hospital.

The 35-year-old remains in a serious condition.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service was called to the car park near the Guildbourne Centre in Anne Street, Worthing at 2.08pm where the man fell from a height.

The air ambulance landed near Steyne Gardens.

A policespokesman said: "A man reported to have fallen from a car park in Worthing High Street remains in a critical condition.

"Police were alerted to the incident at the Guildbourne Centre car park by South East Coast Ambulance about 2.08pm on Wednesday, November 28. 

"The air ambulance landed at nearby Steyne Gardens to assist, and the man, aged 35, from Lancing, was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, where he remains at this stage.

"His next of kin have been informed and there are no suspicious circumstances."

Richard Airey of South East Coast Ambulance Service said: "We responded to reports of a person seriously injured who had fallen from a height. 

"The air ambulance and two cars attended the incident. 

"After being treated at the scene the man has been airlifted to Royal Sussex County Hospital.

"He is in a serious condition."

Police are working to establish the full circumstances, and anyone who saw what happened is urged to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 630 of 28/11.
