PRESTIGE brand Jack Wills is opening in a new shopping centre tomorrow.

The store will open its doors at 9am in the new 170,000 sq ft extension of The Beacon in Eastbourne, formerly known as The Arndale.

The British fashion brand, whose clothing ranges from casual to more formal wear, has been a huge success story since opening its first store in Devon in 1999.

Neil Beaman, head of store development for Jack Wills, said: “We are very excited to be opening in Eastbourne in the run up to Christmas.

“The Beacon is the perfect location for us and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to our brand new store.”

Andrew Rice, fund manager for Legal and General, said: “It’s fantastic to see this dynamic brand opening in the centre.

“It’s a great fit for Eastbourne!”

Jack Wills is the latest store to open in The Beacon and joins H & M, Next, FatFace, Schuh, New Look, Paperchase and Flying Tiger.

The second phase of the extension will follow in April 2019 when Cineworld, Ask, Chiquitos, Frankie & Benny’s and local jewellers W. Bruford will open for trade.

Nandos is due to open in The Beacon ahead of the cinema and other restaurants.

Andrew Rice, Fund Manager at Legal and General, said: “We are delighted to deliver this first phase of the extension, on schedule, before Christmas.

“We would like to thank everyone for their patience as work continues into 2019.”

The Next store has already opened and it store manager Nick Gosset said: “We are happy and excited.”
