BRUNO has revealed how Jurgen Locadia can still play a big part for Albion.
The skipper stood up for the Dutch striker after his costly miss at Burnley last Saturday.
Life comes full circle on Sunday when Locadia hopes to be part of the Albion plan to beat Chelsea at the Amex.
It was ahead of the same fixture last season that Locadia received a rapturous welcome from fans following his record move from PSV.
Bruno believes Locadia’s efforts off the bench at Turf Moor showed what he can offer – despite blowing a great chance to earn his side a point.
The captain said: “That is what we expect from players when they come from the bench, to have that impact.
“He held the ball, he was setting the ball to the midfielders for switch of play.
“And after that, he was getting inside the box.
“With that system we played, the 4-3-3, it allowed him to play wide.
“I think it is a good position for him as well.”
Bruno believes Locadia could yet make the sort of impact achieved by fellow striker Florin Andone with his two recent goals.
He added: “Of course he can do that.
“That is what we expect from all the players, to be ready to play.
“All of us have chances.
“At the end of the day, as players we are paid to be ready.”
