GRAFFITI vandals have been left red-faced after a spelling slip-up.
The street artists left a festive message on the wall of a house in Park Crescent Road, Brighton, but made an embarrassing error.
The words, surrounded by other graffiti, read, "Merry Christas".
The misspelled message was captured and shared on social media.
The post's caption said: "Spot the spelling mistake.
"A good night's work by the local vandals and a clear message to the Council?"
In November, town hall bosses detailed plans to get rid of graffiti in the city.
The plans involved setting up an online database where people could report graffiti, including details such as the times, dates and locations that they saw it.
This is intended to allow the council and police to prosecute graffiti vandals more effectively, with a maximum ten year jail sentence for offenders.
