POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to question in connection with two burglaries.

In the first incident, a gold brooch with a turquoise stone, three pairs of cuff-links and two gold necklaces – one with an oval shaped pendant – were reported stolen from a home in Roman Way, Uckfield.

Police believe the theft happened between 1.30pm and 5.30pm on November 14.

On the same day, police received another report of burglary in Browns Lane, Uckfield.

The homeowners reported five watches, a Tiffany necklace, two Pandora bracelets with charms, a black handbag, a number of rings, nearly £300 in cash and a plain silver bangle as missing from the property.

Police believe the theft happened between 3.45pm and 6pm.

The suspect is a white man, aged between 20 and 30, and wore jeans, a jumper, light-coloured trainers and black gloves.

The suspect may have connections with Surrey and the two burglaries are believed to be linked.
