A GROUP campaigning to keep the city weird have organised a summer themed party for December.

Keep Brighton Weird have set up the tropical-bash for this Saturday at the Rialto Theatre, Dyke Road, 9pm.

The third instalment of the bizarre party will offer gluten-free, organic, and vegan friendly larger .

Event goers are asked to bring their best beach-wear and inflatables, and Hawaiian shirts for the beach party theme.

Saturday is currently looking wet, windy, and cold.

There will be a prize for best inflatable and revellers will get the chance to enter a beach limbo competition.

Tropical Selecta will be bringing the summer-vibes with a selection of reggae, funky, tropical records.

The event is pay what you feel but the suggested donation is £5.

Keep Brighton Weird is a Facebook group set up to showcase and celebrate the city’s strangest goings-on. Posts include a seagull eating a pigeon and a dog wearing a tutu.

Ashton Le Bailly, who is organising the event, said: “We started Keep Brighton weird as a way to post up all the interesting things we saw around Brighton, and somehow the group has grown into almost 10,000 members.

“We love Brighton and all the weird and wonderful people in it. Brighton’s identity is synonymous with individuality and weirdness and keeping Brighton weird is something that is very close to our hearts.”
