As expected, Christmas is the dominant theme in Timeout as we approach the festive period. Today we have a host of Christmas themed stories and pictures from 20 years ago, including letters to Santa, Christmas cards and a young Santa getting stuck in a chimney.
First up we have children at Pebbles Playgroup in their holiday pantomime.
Will Howarth makes an angelic Father Christmas in the show.
He seems to have got stuck in the chimney so we can only hope he was still able to deliver gifts.
Charlotte Havelock was the deserving winner of an Argus Christmas Card competition. She is pictured here with then editor Simon Bradshaw and her winning design.
Match of the Day presenter Jimmy Hill loaded up with Christmas post by his postman John Porter at Hassocks Post Office.
Aldrington School pupils get ready for their annual nativity play.
And Rachel Smart shows off her illuminated house in Norwich Drive in Bevendean.
