A WOMAN charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, as well as robbery, has appeared at court.

Megan Hammond was charged after an incident in Bognor Regis in which an intruder activated the alarm at Kamsons Pharmacy in Durlston Drive at 9.11am on Tuesday.

She lives in Chestnut Grove, Bognor Regis, and appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old has been asked to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on January 11.
