THERE’S a risk of snow and ice over the weekend, with the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning.
Temperatures are set to drop as low as -2 °C tonight with increasingly windy conditions across north Worcestershire and the Black Country.
Heavy freezing rain is then expected to develop during Saturday which will result in the rapid formation of widespread ice on roads, pavements, trees and other structures.
According to the Met Office, some sleet and snow is also possible over the highest ground, while the freezing rain may also be followed by a spell of sleet and snow as the precipitation clears from the west.
Sunday is expected to be drier and less cold, with spells of sunshine.
There’s a risk of ice early on Monday following overnight showers.
