DANCING queen Stacey Dooley has returned home after her spectacular win in Strictly Come Dancing.

The delighted champion was clearly thrilled as she was accompanied by her supportive boyfriend, Sam Tucknott, who is a personal trainer.

The 31-year-old broadcaster celebrated her victory with her dance partner Kevin Clifton and other fellow Strictly dancers.

She left Village Hotel Club in Watford on Sunday morning and was pictured coming back to Brighton.

While many rejoiced at Stacey’s fully-deserved win, she also attracted much attention over her wardrobe malfunction while dancing the Paso Doble on Saturday night.

The journalist joked about the incident and tweeted: “I’ve won Strictly and I flashed my knickers. A perfect Saturday night.”

She added: “At least they were big, they were like big Bridget Jones’s (knickers). I thought ‘oh, they’re not even fancy, they’re not even lacy’.”

Stacey also admitted she thought Youtube star Joe Sugg would win Strictly. She added: “I think we’d kind of accepted that we weren’t going to win. I quite honestly thought Joe had it in the bag.

“When we were coming down the stairs I told Joe to just enjoy it, soak it all up, because it won’t happen again, so I was pep-talking him. I felt really calm.”

Stacey’s profile has never been higher after her performances on the series, and to finish off the year, she and Joe will be hosting BBC1’s New Year’s Eve concert.

That show will also be a departure for Stacey, who is best known her investigative programmes about social issues across the world for BBC3.

She said: “It has been such a fantastic year for me. Working on some hard-hitting documentaries as well as Strictly, has been a real treat.

“Presenting with Joe Sugg at the New Year’s Eve concert with Madness is the perfect ending to such a great year.”
