THE wonderful Christmas tree in Hove is among the subjects in the latest great pictures by The Argus’s Camera Club.

Rob Richards’ picture of Palmeira Square is definitely in with a chance of taking the £50 prize for the December competition with Christmas as the theme.

The other pictures featured today are not particularly Christmassy but they were too good to leave out of our latest round-up of pictures.

Argus editor Arron Hendy said: “I love the picture entitled Sunrise at the start of the day on Telsombe Tye by Karen Clark. It is amazing the way many of our small trees grow as if they are being blown by the wind.

“This is a great shot to illustrate that. They are all fantastic again. I can’t quite work out where the picture of the Cuckmere is taken from, probably on the hill behind the Cuckmere Inn.

“Thank you to all our members who have joined this year to swell the numbers to well above 400. The standard of pictures is incredible so we will be doing a review of some of our favourites of 2018 over Christmas. Our picture editor Allan Hutchings will be choosing the pictures with his favourites being picked after Christmas Day.”

The deadline for this month’s competition is December 27 and, as usual, the winner can claim a £50 prize.
