A teenager was robbed by a man threatening to stab him after being cornered in the toilets of a fast food restaurant.

The victim had gone into the loos at McDonald’s in Liverpool Road in Worthing town centre at 8.40pm on November 24.

A robber ordered the 18-year-old to hand over his phone and wallet, which he did.

Now police have issued a CCTV image of the suspect, who is described as being an Asian man aged about 40, 5ft 10ins tall, with a short stubble beard.

He wore a black beanie hat, black jacket, and a single black leather glove in his right hand.

After leaving the restaurant he went in the direction of Montague Street and joined another man, described as white, aged between 30 and 40, who wore a black three quarter length jacket with the hood down. They then went towards Victoria Park.

Police hope witnesses might remember seeing them on that Saturday night. Anyone with information is asked to report it online or call 101 and quote 1047 of 24/11.
