A THUG who attacked a woman has been jailed for six months.
Michael Daniels was sent to prison after a string of offences, including an assault on Kerry Gent at West Street in Brighton in August.
The 48-year-old denied the charge but was found guilty at Brighton Magistrates' Court last week.
While in police custody he was found in possession of ecstasy and cannabis, which he admitted.
He also admitted stealing a bank card in Brighton in September this year, and a fraud charge where he tried to use the card to make purchases.
Daniels, of Harmsworth Crescent in Hove, was given a two-week sentence for the fraud, to run concurrent with the six months jail term, and one-week for failing to turn up to court in September.
Magistrates ordered him to pay £60 in compensation to the theft victim and a £115 fine.
He has been ordered to pay the money by June 27 next year. He face no separate penalty for the theft.
