STAFF have come together to support homelessness charity, Turning Tides.

Colleagues of Equiniti in Lancing and Worthing have been donating essentials such as warm socks, gloves and flasks.

Turning Tides was started in 1991 by four Christians who took soup, blankets and sleeping bags to the seafront to homeless people.

This has since expanded to operating across Sussex with 300 volunteers.

Equiniti staff raised concerns at the bleak picture of homeless people on the streets, especially during Christmas.

Kate Prangnell, CSR manager at Equiniti, said: “We specifically wanted to support Turning Tides at Christmas as it’s a time where we remember just how fortunate we are, and how so many are not.”
