THE hunt is on to find a hero taxi driver who saved a woman from being assaulted on the seafront.
The driver stepped in after the woman was “grabbed” by a man on Brighton seafront on Saturday.
The mother of the victim has made a heartfelt plea on Facebook to find the man who “possibly saved” her daughter’s life.
She said: “His actions restore my faith in our society.
“Not all heroes wear capes, some drive taxis.”
She said her daughter was attacked in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The driver of the black cab, who is thought to be in his fifties, chased the attacker on to the beach and consoled her traumatised daughter.
Now the search is on to find the man so he can be thanked for his actions in person.
The victim’s mother said: “He had granddaughters my daughter’s age.
“This hero got out of his car and went to my daughter’s rescue.
“I would like to find this taxi driver and thank him in person.”
