A MAN drove his car into parked vehicles before stabbing himself in the chest.

The 41-year-old man has been arrested and remains under police guard following the incident in Kings Road, Lancing, last night (December 28).

The Argus:

Police say he drove his car into several parked vehicles before turning a blade on himself and stabbing his chest two times.

He then received medical treatment and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The Argus:

The twisted remains of another car's bumper were laying on the pavement next to a low brick wall which appears to be smashed.

Witnesses say they saw armed officers, an ambulance, as well as two rapid response vehicles attend the scene
