TWO teenagers were hurt during a street stabbing in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Police and paramedics were called to Temple Street in Brighton at 3.50am, just hours after revellers celebrated.
A 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old young man were injured and taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment.
They are both from Brighton, and their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Meanwhile officers charged 36-year-old Alex Besmir in connection with the incident.
The maintenance employee, of Temple Street, was remanded in custody and had been due to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court yesterday, charged with committing grievous bodily harm and with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
