WHEN Michelle Baker gave birth to her son Chester last June, she did not realise that her new bundle of joy would also inspire a new business opportunity.

Prior to taking maternity leave, she was a successful mobile beauty therapist with a busy full diary.

But after the birth of her baby, Michelle, 34, from Patcham, Brighton, realised that she wanted to spend as much as time as she could with her son.

Having been an avid fitness fan for many years, she began to struggle to find a way of working out, what with having a newborn baby.

It was at that moment that Michelle realised she could combine her passion and motherhood into a new career.

She said: “After being on maternity leave and enjoying every precious moment, I realised that my working life would have to adapt to fit my new lifestyle.

“Thus, Mummy and Bunny was born: my new beginning.

“I decided to embark on a new journey, to create a club where mummies and babies can enjoy time together and enhance that special bond.

“Mummy and Bunny is therefore a chance for you to get out the house, meet other parents and babies and spend time having fun with your mini-me, be it with classes together, or for you to get fit and strong again.

“I want to create an atmosphere where mums and dads alike can still continue exercise classes, without having to pay for costly babysitters, but at the same time, include classes for their babies as well.

“It’s a club not just for mums but for anyone who wishes to enjoy fitness and fun with their little one, be it mummy, daddy, granny, grandad, or sibling.”

Mummy and Bunny launches on February 4 with classes at various venues around Brighton.

There are classes on offer for mums and babies including yoga, pilates, bootcamp, baby signing, massage and sensory play.

All classes are a safe space where mothers and babies can bond, relax and have fun together.

Memberships are available as well as pay-as-you-go classes, both of which are available through the online booking system, making it super easy to book for busy mums.

Michelle said: “Having a baby is such a magical experience, full of special moments and momentous milestones to treasure forever.

“So, in joining Mummy and Bunny and enjoying the mixture of classes on offer, we aim to enhance the time you spend together, creating memories, aiding in your babies development and allowing you to relax within a laid back, calming environment.”

Classes will be in Preston Park, The Barn at Westdene and St Thomas More church hall. Email michelle@mummyandbunny.co.uk
