A DIGITAL marketing agency has raised £20,000 to be shared between seven charities.

Search Seven, based in Church Road, Hove, pledges to give seven per cent of its profits to charity or the local community. It set an ambitious target to raise £17,000 across seven different charities in 2018, in celebration of its seventh anniversary.

The fundraising campaign was called #share7.

MD Gavin Willis said: “ I’m blown away that we have exceeded our target and raised a total of £20,000 in support of seven fantastic charities.

“We sent out an email to each charity and told them what we were going to give to them.

“Their responses of gratitude and stories of what they are going to do with the money had me in tears as we are now understanding the real impact that #share7 will have on people’s lives.”

The seven are Group B Strep Support, RISE, The Sussex Beacon and The Clock Tower Sanctuary, The Trevor Mann Baby Unit (part of the Rockinghorse), Alzheimer’s Society and the Nkuringo Foundation in Uganda

Mr Willis said: “We are a purpose-driven organisation and living proof that businesses can be successful whilst playing an active role in the local community.

“I will look back on #share7 in years to come with immense pride.”
